Our skills and experience have enabled us the opportunity to provide our services for clients such as the Lockyer Valley Regional Council, RoadTek, Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing (formerly DERM), property developers and private landholders.
Our successful projects include:
Flood Restoration Works 2011-2014 (Road Repairs)
Client: Lockyer Valley Regional Council
Following the devastating flood events, we worked with the Lockyer Valley Regional Council to assist with the restoration of its damaged infrastructure, including the repair of failed road surfaces, the replacement of damaged culverts, providing scour protection to bridge and culvert structures and the construction of shotcrete batter protection, including soil nailing.
33 Lot Subdivision
Client: Nev Faulks, Property Developer
This subdivision included roadworks, stormwater drainage, culvert construction, reticulated water systems, underground electricity and NBN works.
I recently engaged Gatton Earthmovers to do all the earthworks and civil works on a residential subdivision at Adare. The subdivision was a reasonable size – 100 acres and 33 lots, and Gatton Earthmovers handled it easily.
They worked well on site with the other contractors, kept me informed of their progress and adapted quickly to variations in the contract. The quality of their work was of a high standard. I would definitely work with them again, and recommend them to others.

Residential Site Restoration and Landscaping
Client: Private resident
We worked with our client to make significant improvements to the landscape surrounding their home on a large rural-residential block. The project included constructing an access road, levelling and landscaping.
Poultry Shed Site Preparation
Client: Cochrane Farms/Santrev
A leading commercial free range chicken producer engaged us to carry our earthworks and associated roadworks in preparation for a new 145m x 17m poultry shed.
As commercial free range chicken producers we were very pleased with the professional service and end result of the pad for a new chicken shed that Gatton Earthmovers produced for us. The principal of the business, Brad Hodge, was extremely approachable and always eager to meet our requests, and the job, which took about a month was hassle free.
I found them very fair, and ethical and honest in the way the team went about what they do. They’re down to earth, easy to deal people with good old-fashioned customer values in place, and it was a pleasure to do business with them.

Grantham Landfill Capping
Client: Lockyer Valley Regional Council
Gatton Earthmovers was awarded the contract to construct a capping to provide an impermeable barrier and capture any gases produced. This project was a unique experience for us, due to specific procedures and work methods that needed to be followed to prevent damage to the geosynthetic liner that we installed under the clay capping material.
Client: Mal Irvine
This project included the reconstruction of the existing gravel road in front of the site to a sealed standard, the construction of internal accesses and associated storm water drainage systems.
I recently subdivided five acres of private property for residential development and Gatton Earthmovers were recommended to me for earthworks, roadworks and drainage. I was glad they were, as I was very impressed with their professionalism and the way they operated.
The first thing that jumped out at me was how reasonable their rates were. And their communication was fantastic – they kept me up to date so I knew what was going on at all times. Everything was completed to a high standard and all done on schedule. They also left the site very tidy after they had finished.
I’d recommend Gatton Earthmovers to anyone – you’ll get value for money and satisfaction that the job will be done properly.
